A Really Big Bluegrass Birthday

1/8/2009

Series celebrates 35 years: This Saturday night is the big night, the Saturday closest to the date when the very first bluegrass concert was held at the historic Lucketts Community Center 35 years ago.  Although the Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation is celebrating the anniversary throughout its entire season, this Saturday night is special. When the Larry Stephenson Band takes the stage, it will continue a tradition that began with Bob Paisley and The Southern Grass, the band that inaugurated the series under the auspices of the community center and the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services more than three decades ago. | 0 comments - ›› more ...
