Halloween
Friday, Oct. 31: 21th Annual Mall-o-ween at Fair Oaks Mall. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Fair Oaks Mall, intersection of I-66 and Route 50, Fairfax. Children are invited to dress up in costumes and fill up their trick-or-treat bags at mall stores.Presented by Minnieland Day Schools, the mall’s Fountain Court will be stocked with dry ice to add an eerie atmosphere for the evening. Oversized costumed characters will walk through the mall greeting children.

A Halloween Hop. Beginner jitterbug lesson at 8:30 p.m.; band plays 9-midnight. Dulles Hilton, off Route 28, Herndon, in the Red Fox Club room. Gottaswing will be holding a huge Halloween Hop with the Hula Monsters (www.hulamonsters.com) playing. There will be creepy decorations, ghoulish snacks, costume contest, Skeleton Jam, and many scary surprises. For ages 10 to 100.
The entire evening is $15 per person. (Hotel restaurant and bar facilities also available.)
There always is a big crowd, so come early.
