Bank robbed in Springfield

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 2:26 p.m., a man entered the BB&T Bank located at 7000 Bland St. in Springfield, approached a 26-year-old teller and announced the robbery. After the teller relinquished cash, the suspect took the money and fled. No weapon was implied or shown. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as white and in his 40s. He was approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds with a thin build. He was clean-shaven and had brown wire-rim glasses. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black baseball cap underneath and dark blue pants.
