Three good reasons to support McCain

I am a Christian. Based on my prayers and my Bible readings I am voting for John McCain. I have three main reasons for this decision:

Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:14 “And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.” Paul also wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” John McCain will control runaway spending and provide tax cuts for hard-working Americans. Americans are the most charitable people in the world, give cheerfully to the needy and do not need more government coercion.

Matthew 24:40 says, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” John McCain’s health-care plan corrects a flaw in the current tax system which only gives a tax benefit only to those who get health insurance from their workplace. McCain’s $5,000 tax credit will help provide health insurance for Americans who currently do not have any. This will be especially beneficial for those earning too much money to qualify for Medicaid but without workplace health insurance. Finally it will save money for 95 percent of all Americans. For example, the $5,000 credit will more than offset the $3,360 an American in the 28 percent tax bracket would pay on a $12,000 health insurance benefit.

In Psalm 139:13 David wrote “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.” Matthew 19:14 says, “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’" John McCain has followed this command of Jesus by supporting pro-life policy his entire political career. On the other hand, Barack Obama is the most extreme, radical pro-abortion presidential candidate ever. Obama has told the Planned Parenthood Action Fund that the first thing he will sign as president will be the Freedom of Choice Act, which will sweep away all limits on abortion including the federal partial-birth abortion ban, the Hyde Amendment, which restricts use of taxpayer dollars for supporting abortion, and all state parental notification laws. Also, Obama supports taxpayer funding of abortion. And, Obama has stood on the floor of the Illinois statehouse and argued that a baby born alive due to a botched abortion should not have the same rights as a child carried to term.

The choice is clear and this Christian’s choice is John McCain.

I am a good Christian and my bible tells me that I should not support an adulterer because what God hath joined together no man (woman) can put asunder. I can not support John McCain.
